Can i put ebooks on my kindle. These are both methods i use frequently with e books that i didn t get directly from amazon. If you don t have a kindle device but instead use one of their free apps on your smartphone or tablet click on the file and designate it to open with the kindle app on that mobile device. You can use both mobi and epub format ebooks.

Click your content and devices. Click download transfer via usb. Another reliable program for converting epub files to mobi is amazon s own kindle previewer available as a free download for windows and macos.

The easiest way to put books on your kindle is to do it via email. Up top click the devices tab. This is an application that allows users to preview.

To add ebooks to calibre simply drag the ebook into the calibre window. So long as your ebook is in one of the formats the kindle already supports you can email it to your kindle s unique email address explained above. If you have an amazon ebook that you want to add to your kindle via usb go to amazon and log in if necessary then do the following.

Up top click the devices tab. In a second or two calibre will import the ebook and fetch related metadata book details and the cover art. Send it to your kindle from your amazon account.
